Covers & Rollers

A swimming pool or spa is covered for many reasons; the main ones being to reduce evaporation and keep the water balance correct, to keep debris out, trap heat in, use the sun to slightly heat the water, to keep the pool safe or for convenience. Some elements can be manual or automatic.

Depending on your pool, priorities and budget we can recommend the best product from the range of covers including:

  • Summer solar covers

  • Winter debris cover

  • Safety covers

  • Slatted covers

Rollers also vary depending on the cover type. Some covers require simple rollers, others geared or motorised to aid in removing or replacing the cover. Most slatted or safety cover rollers come in pits or benches, this would be down to how or when they are installed.

Liners

A liner is fitted to a pool to retain the water, if a pool is tiled or has a concrete or marbelite finish the shell is water tight and does not require a liner.

If a swimming pools water balance has been maintained correctly and the liner has been looked after it should last at least 7-10 years.

Bag liner

This is the type of liner that most swimming pools have and the cheaper option of the two. It is made as one whole piece bespoke to your pool and fitted by drawing the air out from behind it for a snug fit.

It can work round steps in some cases and comes in a range of colours, including different waterline patterns.

Underlay is recommended as it protects the liner against the shell and can be fitted if required.

On site liner

This type of liner is thicker and fitted on site directly by our supplier. It is supplied with underlay which is glued to the floor and walls.

The liner is then welded onto a metal profile running around the top of the pool. The material is then laid in lengths and welded and sealed at the seams. This is the more expensive option but comes with a longer life expectancy.

Onsite liners can be added to nearly any type of pool, including steps and ledges. The liner can be supplied in a range of colours, patterns and ‘touch’ options including a raised tiled finish.
